NauticBlue power
yacht vacations recently celebrated its first year anniversary at the Abacos,
Bahamas and St. Thomas, USVI bases. NauticBlue is owned by The Moorings, the
company that pioneered the charter fleet business 34 years ago and manages 770
yachts worldwide.
This must be the perfect Caribbean vacation for boaters, that
puts you at the helm of a custom power yacht. You’re the captain as you cruise
to hidden coves, secluded beaches, vibrant coral reefs, and romantic island
anchorages only a private yacht can reach. Snorkel, fish, dive, kayak, go
exploring. This is the Caribbean the way it was meant to be experienced. You’ll
cruise where you want, when you want, and how you want. It’s as personal, as
free-spirited, and as much fun as a vacation can get. Depending on the season
and boat size, charter vacation rates range from $340 to $1,290 per day.
Every NauticBlue vessel is custom built for maximum comfort,
easy handling and enjoyable Caribbean cruising with family and friends. You can
choose from three unique 34- to 46-foot yachts, each designed with all the
amenities necessary for an unforgettable vacation. Every yacht features private
staterooms with en-suite heads and full galleys with all the conveniences, from
coffeemakers to microwaves. Plus, each power yacht is outfitted with the latest
electronics, including autopilot and GPS/chart plotter for ease of navigation.
NauticBlue 464

The new NauticBlue 464 power catamaran, also marketed privately by The Moorings
as the Lion 46, is the flagship of the NauticBlue fleet. It’s the result of
NauticBlue working hand in hand with the world’s top boat designers and builders
to deliver hulls and layouts tailor-made for comfortable and easy cruising. This
is the largest NauticBlue yacht currently available and offers three spacious
levels with a host of impressive features. A huge flybridge with steering
station provides superb view over the water and comfortable seating for up to
eight, as well as additional open space ideal for sunning. The main deck houses
a spacious saloon and galley area aft, and a pilothouse with inside steering and
integrated guest seating forward. Four large double cabins, each with en-suite
head and shower, are located on the lower deck. The NauticBlue 464 can cruise
comfortably at 16-22 knots with its powerful twin 370 HP engines.

NauticBlue 372
The NauticBlue 372 power catamaran offers comfortable living
areas, ease of handling, and stability on the water. A flybridge with guest
seating and steering station offers great views over the water, while the
interior features a pilothouse forward with fully equipped navigation station.
This yacht’s interior is designed with a very spacious saloon area that seats 6
comfortably, and a fully equipped galley with contemporary bar, plenty of
storage and ample counter space. Two large double cabins are located below deck,
each with en-suite head and shower for comfort and privacy. The NauticBlue 372
is built by Fountaine Pajot in France.
The NauticBlue Charter Experience
From beginning to end, NauticBlue definitely tries to make it
easy. No formal certification is required, you simply complete a Boating Resume,
and once your experience has been evaluated, you will be notified of the types
of power yachts you’re approved to charter. NauticBlue Vacation Planning
Specialists will assist you to select the ideal yacht and the perfect itinerary.
They’ll also book your travel arrangements at the lowest rates available. When
you arrive, your yacht will be fully provisioned and ready to go. Whether or not
you’re chartering for the first time, you’ll be glad you chose a well-organized
and respected company.
The Virgin Islands Base
From the base in St. Thomas you’ll set out to explore the
magnificent U.S. and British Virgin Islands. With easy access from major U.S.
airports, this beautiful archipelago offers smooth, deep-water island hopping
with simple line-of-sight navigation, so you always know exactly where you’re
headed.
This destination offers a truly unique island vacation. You
can experience the amazing caves at Norman Island where you can snorkel inside
these marvels. Dive the wreck of the Rhone, or visit the gigantic boulder-formed
wonders of The Baths. Cruise to breathtaking Anegada, with its white beaches and
spectacular reefs, or hike the tropical trails of St. John. Best of all, and
like other NauticBlue destinations, you will anchor in a different location
every night, so you can enjoy a full array of rustic island bars and fine island
dining while basking daily in beautiful sunshine with comfortable temperatures
between 80-88 degrees Fahrenheit.
Travel Notes
The base on St. Thomas is a direct flight from Miami. From
other cities, connect through San Juan, Puerto Rico. The marina is located at
Sapphire Beach, a 40-minute taxi ride from the airport.
The Abacos
Bahamas Base: This exotic corner of the Bahamas is the Caribbean
close to home and a true boater’s paradise, offering countless anchorages just
miles apart, with uninhabited islands and secluded beaches. You will discover
fine restaurants, friendly people, modern full-service marinas, excellent
snorkeling and fishing. The Abacos are, without a doubt, the most popular
cruising destination in the Bahamas.
The Abacos are famous for white, pristine beaches that can
only be reached by a yacht. From the Sandy Cays in the south to Walkers Cay,
these waters are home to excellent fishing and snorkeling. You’ll feel yourself
caught up in the laid-back atmosphere and friendly hospitality that is 100%
Bahamian.
The Abacos offer easy air access from South Florida and from
major cities. Just a short flight from Miami, the Marsh Harbour Airport is less
than five miles from the base.
The NauticBlue
Yacht Ownership Program
The ownership program offers a unique way to own your dream
power yacht by eliminating the traditional expenses and hassles of private yacht
ownership, and replacing it with guaranteed monthly income and worry-free
cruising time. Here’s how it works:
Purchase a new NauticBlue power yacht and an expert team will
manage her for you in the exclusive charter fleet based in the sparkling blue
waters of the Caribbean or the Bahamas. While in the program, you’ll have no
expenses to worry about because you receive a guaranteed income that exceeds
your financing costs, and NauticBlue covers all maintenance and operating
expenses. Plus, you’ll have up to eight weeks each year to enjoy cruising with
friends and family.
The typical program length is five high seasons. At the end
you may, of course, decide to keep your yacht for many more years of enjoyable
cruising, or roll over into a new NauticBlue yacht. In this case they offer a
guaranteed trade-in value on your current yacht, determined up front at the
start of your program. Alternatively, should you opt to sell your yacht, they
can provide you with sales support through its global brokerage network. For
